Embedded media question…

Do you like embedded media like videos, or do you prefer links to media? I’m specifically thinking of youtube in this case and I wouldn’t be putting in some auto-playing control that you have to scramble to turn off.

Thicker creamier ozone

Yay! The ozone layer is recovering! I think in general we don’t know enough to know the cycles of global patterns like temperature and weather and how things interact, but in this case it’s pretty clear our production of CFCs was the main cause. Now if we can just cut oil use and stop over-fishing […]

Tuesday Movie Roundup #7

Nicole and I were in need of a comedy and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby was there with the right starting time. We got a lot of laughs out of it so mission accomplished there. It’s rediculous and silly but always stays on target. I see is compared to Anchorman a lot since […]

Also from there you can get a link to the animated video on yahoo. Also while you’re there you can get a […]

Out of county experiences

A few weekends ago I accompanied Nicole to Bay Meadows for a day at the races. I’m not big into horses or horse racing but it was fun. The notable events during the races were one horse I picked to win dumped the jockey at the gate and ran the other way about halfway around […]

Dune Messiah

I’ve now finished Dune Messiah, the shortest of the Dune books. (If you don’t want to read more Dune rambling, stop now)

Not too bad for being out of shape

Stephanie was in town touring for people she hasn’t seen in years and for Santa Cruz she decided a hike in Big Basin was the thing. Making the trek were Stephanie, Tammy, Brick, Brick’s friend Mike, Nicole, and myself. Mike led the way for about the first third and I’m not sure we ever were […]

Dune

I’m re-reading the original Dune series because another is soon to come. (This post is long and rambling… don’t read it)
