New projector is set up!
There still a little fine tuning on position and such, but the picture is so beautiful, and it’s just projecting on the wall! DVDs look wonderful and you can see stuff even inthe dark scenes. Video games are made to look not as good in some ways now in that it is so sharp you can see everything that a normal television hides.
And… It can be watched without all the lights out in the room!
I can’t tell you how terribly excited I am about the projector! I even went out and bought oodles of 1/2 price DVDs just so I can spend all next week watching tv!
April 2nd, 2005 at 1:40 pmIf you need help let me know. I’m curious about what you got. Don’t let it interfere with your packing!
April 2nd, 2005 at 2:10 pmoff hand: Napolean Dynamite (although I just gave that to Travis), some Helena Bohnam Carter movie which I also gave to him, Garden State, Raising Helen, Wicker Park, Leo, Nicholas Nickleby, Saved!, The Whole Ten Yards (although I never saw the 9 Yards to get this movie at all). I picked up 4 more, but can’t remember what they are off the top of my head.. I think it was Mulan, Nightmare Before Christmas, and and and and.. I’ll add them all to the tv room.
April 2nd, 2005 at 5:52 pmI have a copy of the Whole 9 Yards you can watch. I wanted to see 10 Yards. I also want to see Saved! and Garden State.
April 2nd, 2005 at 6:27 pmokay, I’ll leave them for you at home and steal away 9 yards tomorrow. SAVED! is great and it was entertaining to listen to the commentary too. It’s on my list of movies that I watch over and over, sometimes the same night!
I also loved GARDEN STATE. Natalie Portman is doing the NP thing and so I thoroughly enjoyed her performance. You’ll like it, I think.
10 YARDS though… well, maybe it wouldn’t have been painful had I seen 9 YARDS. Kind of like how I couldn’t enjoy BE COOL after never seen GET SHORTY.
You might enjoy LEO if you haven’t seen it. Travis says that the kid in it is awesome.
My goal this weekend is to watch something like CONTACT with lots of special fx that will look awesome on the screen… test out the different visual options that the projector offers!
